This is the first story of a series of Hoani Dory stories. It introduces the reader to a young, guileless and endearing Dory fish, his family and his New Zealand/Aotearoa environment. In this story, Hoani Dory wants to get rid of his spot but in the process gets himself into trouble. Hoani Dory’s friend comes to his aid and his father reassures him that his spot is special. This picture book has carefully selected words, themes and illustrations relevant to young children from four to seven years of age.
